For this new build in County Mayo, Alan and Zara set out to create a bespoke contemporary kitchen that is striking, practical, and effortlessly clutter-free. Designed as the focal point of a large open-plan space, the kitchen combines a bold black palette with clean lines, integrated storage, and high-performance appliances – creating a layout that works effortlessly while keeping the space calm and organised.

The result is a refined contemporary kitchen where everything has its place, designed for everyday family living and relaxed entertaining.

A carefully selected range of high-performance appliances supports how this contemporary kitchen is used every day. A Quooker boiling water tap, flush downdraft hob, and raised ovens are positioned for ease, while a wine cooler and double dishwashers enhance both everyday use and entertaining.

Contemporary Kitchen - Multifunctional Island

3 Metre Architectural Kitchen Island

This 3 metre island is designed as both a visual centrepiece and a hardworking space for daily life. Finished in Mont Quartz with a waterfall edge and Noir slatted detailing, it supports cooking, dining, and gathering, with deep drawer storage and a concealed housing unit for the robotic hoover.

Bar Area for Entertaining

Set at the edge of the kitchen, the bar area creates a dedicated space for hosting family and friends, separate from the main prep and cooking zones. Finished in Marone Casella Oak with smoked glass, integrated LED lighting and aluminium framing, echoing the Crittall-style doors, it adds a more social dimension to the space.
